Visit ZOO close to High Tatras in summer season

Zoological gardens in Slovakia

     Slovakia has only a little number of zoos.On the other hand, our zoos are very nice and well kept.The closest zoo from the High Tatras is just behind the corner in Spisska Nova Ves ( 25 km/ 15 miles ). A little further we can find the second one- in Kosice ( 120 km / 75 miles ), the third zoo is located in Bojnice and the last, which is the most distant - in our capital city, Bratislava. If you and your children you love education and nature, this place should remain unvisited.

ZOO Spisska Nova Ves

Zoo in Spisska Nova Ves covers an area of 8 ha in the southeastern part of the city. I tis the newest zoo in Slovakia. There is a nice small river floating in the ZOO which stregthens the beautiful scenery of the campus gardens.
